Lifelong:
Have been blessed by being raised in a terrific family that knew how to laugh often and for all the right reasons.

Since 1969:
Got married to my first husband, Wayne. (Oh, I guess he's my ONLY husband!) No small miracle: WE'RE STILL MARRIED TO EACH OTHER!!!

Since 1970:
Been a mom of (eventually) four terrific kids. They've taught me more than I ever thought possible about how great it is to be a parent. Certainly learned more than I ever thought I'd need to know about raising kids. Sure enjoy sharing what I've learned (on-the-job and through formal study) with parents and others who work with kids.

Since 1989:
Have owned and operated (what is now called) Teachable Moments, a company committed to developing educational materials and products that focus on the needs of the learner.

Since 1998:
Have served as Parent Education Director for the Nebraska Council to Prevent Alcohol and Drug Abuse. Wrote and designed a powerful parent education program, When It Comes From You, and accompanying Training of Trainers.

Since 1994:
Have been a grandmother of some of the nation's brightest and best. Wouldn't trade this experience for anything in the universe!
